ZERODOWN SOFTWARE

This Policy was last updated effective May 25, 2018

ZeroNines Technology, Inc., and its business operations under its registered trade name ZeroDown Software (collectively, “ZeroDown”) are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy tells you about our policy and practice for the collection, use, processing, storage, transfer, protection, and disclosure of information that we may collect about you in the course of providing you with products and services. Information may be collected through our websites, at marketing events, from our partners, by direct communication from you, or by other means.

Before you access and use our websites or submit your personal information to us, you will be asked to provide your authorization and consent by agreeing to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our License Agreement. Please carefully read the following to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us, and we strive to protect it.

Types of Information Collected

We collect the minimum information necessary to allow our system to recognize you when you log in to your account.  This may include data that can be used to identify you, either directly or indirectly, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, login information, and marketing preferences. Additional information collected by our website may include your IP address, pages that you visit on our website, and any other data normally stored in website logs. In addition, while using our products and services you may provide us with information related to your cloud account and servers such as access credentials, technical data, etc. When you purchase our products and services we necessarily also collect your credit card number. We do not keep credit card information; it is encrypted and forwarded to a secure third party processing service provider by secure link. We do not store that information within our system.

We will ask you to create a password to your account during registration. This will be the permanent password on your account. If you lose or forget your password, we offer a method for changing it, which will use the email address associated with your account as an identifier. Note that we do NOT offer a way to retrieve your lost password; you can only change it. Some systems offered by other providers enable you to retrieve a lost password by identifying yourself through non-sensitive personal information like names of pets or favorite colors. Such systems represent a security weakness that could lead to the loss or theft of Personal Information in the event of a data breach or “hacker attack”. For this reason, we enable you to change passwords rather than retrieve them.

In this Privacy Policy we will refer to all information that can be used to identify you, or is combined with information that can be used to identify you, directly or indirectly, as your “Personal Information.”

Cookies and Other Technologies

Our websites, advertisements, emails, and online services may use certain automatic data collection technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags to collect data, including personal information, about you while you use our website or our products, and when you interact with us. Collection of user data helps us to understand our users’ behavior, web searches, and where on our websites users have visited.

Like many other websites, we use “cookies” (a small file sent to your computer by a website to allow the website to store information which uniquely identifies you), or other similar software to collect data, in order to assist our users and provide them with a more personal experience during visits in our websites. You can always disable cookies at your browser, but please note that if you do so, some (or all) of the features and functionality of our service may not be available to you.

We may also use other technologies (such as web beacons) to collect anonymous non-personally identifiable information. Such information may include your IP address, browser type, referring website, site usage, and whether you opened emails you received from us.

We may post client testimonials on our websites which may contain personally identifiable information. We will obtain a customer’s consent to post its name along with its testimonial (unless such information was made public by the customer itself).

We are only responsible for the privacy practices of ZeroDown and its websites. Our websites may contain links to other websites for additional information and convenience. We do not control those other websites, endorse or make any representation about other websites, and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those other websites. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is subject to their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Some of our websites contain interactive elements such as discussion forums and blogs that allow users to publish their own content. Any information posted on these blogs and forums becomes public, which means it could be read, collected or used by other users in any manner. ZeroDown is not responsible for any Personal Information you choose to submit in forums. To request removal of your personal information from our blogs or community forums, contact us via email ( ).

Use of Your Personal Information

When you voluntarily provide us with Personal Information, we will use it to provide you with our products and services, give you information about us, process your orders, create your account, provide customer service, respond to a specific question, manage a job application, or provide access to additional information or offers. We also use the information we collect to improve the content of our websites, and to notify customers of updates to our websites and our products and services. We may contact you for marketing and sales purposes, including renewals, that are related to your specific needs and interests.

By providing your Personal Information to us you explicitly give us the right to use that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. You may revoke this permission at any time by notifying us via email (privacy@gmg.bf8.myftpupload.com) or by going to our website and using our account management tools to delete your account.

In order to support and enhance the customer relationship with you, we may store, process, or share your Personal Information with our parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries, and with our worldwide partners and contractors (e.g., channel partners, credit card processors, data hosters and service providers) to perform a function, provide you with information that you may be interested in, or complete a transaction related to your purchase of, or interest in purchasing, our products and services. Third parties with whom we share your Personal Information are all bound by all relevant and applicable data privacy laws and terms of confidentiality in our agreements with them.

We may also share non-personal summary information with our worldwide partners and affiliates, but this will not, without your specific permission, include any of your Personal Information. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, non-personal information combined with personal information is treated as Personal Information.

There are times when we may be required to disclose your Personal Information by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities. We may also disclose your Personal Information for purposes of investigations of threats to national security, compliance with requests from law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, or when we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WE DO NOT SHARE, SELL, RENT, OR OTHERWISE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ANYONE OR ANY ORGANIZATION.

With our online account management tools, we make it easy for you to keep your Personal Information up to date and to help us maintain its accuracy. You can view your Personal Information, make any necessary changes, and download a portable copy of the information in a common format.

Your Personal Information will be stored only for the time period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by law.

Data Security and Protection of Your Personal Information

The security of our customers’ data is the lifeblood of our business, and we take it very seriously. To protect the Personal Information that you have provided us against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration, ZeroDown uses technical and organizational security measures to prevent any unauthorized disclosure or access.

  • We use industry standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures.
  • We restrict access to your Personal Information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our products and services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations, and we require all of them to agree to use your Personal Information solely for the purpose for which we provided it to them and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To make purchases from our websites you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, or Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information as it is transmitted over the Internet.
  • Moreover, all files containing your Personal Information are encrypted using our proprietary data encryption software built for data protection by design and by default. This means that your Personal Information is stored using pseudonymisation or full anonymisation, and we use the highest-possible privacy settings by default, so that your Personal Information is not available publicly without your explicit consent, and cannot be used to identify you without additional information stored separately.

Of course, it is also important that you take precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often, using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.

You have the choice to determine what information you receive from ZeroDown about products and services, and how such information is received by specifying your communication preferences by your subscription details at the subscription preferences page. We would like to emphasize that this provision does not apply to transactional emails related to users’ business relationship with us.

When you send email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process and respond to your requests and improve our products and services. Please do not send us any communication which contains confidential information. Since we are not able to evaluate whether such communication contains confidential information or not, we may retain or use such confidential information as aforesaid and such retention or use shall not be deemed as a breach of any of our obligations in this document.
